Since 2007, Congo maite mining co., ltd. has been rooted in the democratic republic of Congo (DRC) for nearly 12 years. As an important link connecting the source of cobalt supply chain with the domestic processing and consumer market, mait mining has been playing a pivotal role in hanrui cobalt group since its establishment. With the expansion of the factory scale and the improvement of the production capacity, maite mining has never forgotten to fulfill its social responsibility and obligation in the transnational business activities, and to devote itself to the well-being and development of the community from a small point of view.

On June 20, 2019, the cobalt supply chain responsible management project team of hanruico co., LTD and maite mining social responsibility office sent special personnel together with PACT, an international ngo, to visit Mr. Placide Kisokola, mayor of hituru town, likasi city and Ms. Odette Mwewa, mayor of broo district, which belongs to maiko mining. Through fruitful talks, business representatives expressed their plans to intensify the development of public welfare projects aimed at improving the livelihood of the community under the professional guidance of PACT, an ngo, and hoped for the support and assistance of town and district governments.

In order to further improve the basic research, under the coordination and organization of Ms. Odette Mwewa, district mayor, the residents' congress was held in Muwanzo primary school in broo district on June 21. The congress was presided over by Mr. Elie Danga, project manager of PACT. Three to five resident representatives from Mivuka, Hewa Bora, Kimplande, Joli Site, Mutepuka and Peage, the six sub-districts of broo district, together with local civil organizations from likasi city, attended the meeting. The total number of participants was nearly 40. Group discussions and open presentations were used, with representatives from each district presenting the difficulties and expectations their communities are facing at the infrastructure level. During this period, the enterprise representatives and the staff of PACT listened carefully to all kinds of demands of the participants and actively participated in the discussion, recorded and summarized them one by one, and the atmosphere at the meeting was warm. More than three hours of residents' congress in a round of applause in the end.

Before the end of the conference, the company made a solemn commitment to discuss and carefully plan the specific implementation plan of public welfare projects with PACT based on the results of the conference, so as to fulfill its obligations with a continuous improvement attitude and contribute to the well-being and development of the community.
